What we are about
Having fun with horses! The ranch is a small ranch, but it has a warm family atmosphere. Kids of all ages and their families, school and church groups are encourage to come and learn about horses from grooming and care to basic horsemanship. Weekly sessions are available or come for a one time experience. Shannon and Gayle Oxford instruct along with volunteer friends and family.
We have picnic areas and a campfire gathering area for field trips to our ranch. We will be planing special Bar-B-Qs and events for fund raising and for our program awareness. We hope to reach out to schools and community to offer our program to kids of all ages.
Who can benefit?
Anyone! Children and families who have not had the opportunity to experience the country and ranch life. Parents that are considering a horse for their child, and want to know what the responsibility is in owning a horse. And, especially children or youths at risk, abused or trouble kids. A positive experience with a horse can build a child's confidence and trust. Again, there is no charge or fees. The time a child and family spend with a horse in a quite ranch atmosphere is priceless.
Our horses benefit also, some came from situations of neglect and they love the attention!
When can you come?

You must call for an interview and to schedule a session.
As we have a limited number of horses at this time, visits are limited to once a week sessions per child/family.
We are seasonal. During the winter and summer months we hold sessions "weather permitting"
Because we are a non profit program and do not charge a fee, all monies to support the horses care, maintenance and to maintain a clean and safe facility, must come from donations or sponsors.
